counterintuitive persuasion trick

Fun fact:
Yesterday, I sent out an email with a lesson I’ve shared many times before.
What was it?
That you don’t have to write anything from top to bottom…
And instead, that starting with whatever feels easiest (like the FAQ or order form copy) is a great way to crush writer’s block.
Anyhow, despite this being a fairly simple point I’ve repeated in my book, emails, and paid products…
I still got a bunch of responses to it.
Including this one:
And this one:
And this one:
Along with a few others.
So you see…
This serves as Exhibit A for another lesson that bears repeating:
You don’t need to come up with a million different lessons to persuade your audience.
Or get them to subscribe to your worldview.
Quite the opposite:
In most cases, they just need to hear a handful of messages over and over again…
But driven home in different ways.
How do you do that?
By using different stories to reveal the same lesson.
You’ve probably had an experience where something finally clicked even though you’d heard it before.
Right?
I know I have.
This is one of the hidden benefits of using storytelling as the “delivery vehicle” in your emails…
It gives you a new path to guide your readers to the same destination.
So next time you’re stuck on what to write about…
Try using a new story to share an old lesson.
Works like gangbusters ;)
That’s all I got for ya today, though.
Happy Friday 🤘

P.S:
Next week, I’m opening up 2 slots inside the Tiny Visual Books Accelerator.
This is a done-for-you offer where I create your Tiny Visual Book, Ads & Funnel for you so you can build a list of presold buyers on autopilot.
If that sounds interesting…
Stay tuned for more details on Monday.
