micro learning opportunities

True story:

When I got into copywriting back in 2016…

I was convinced I was too late.

That I’d missed the boat…

And that the market was already flooded with people more motivated and skilled than me…

Meaning my chance to cash in was already gone.

Yet as it turned out…

I wasn’t late to the game - I was early.

Likewise with working remotely…

As I discovered in 2020, while everyone else scrambled to adapt.

Point is:

Everyone always thinks they’re too late.

But in many cases, with the benefit of time, they come to realize they’re mistaken.

On that note:

I hear a similar thing from folks these days about creating and selling online courses.

They’re worried they’ve missed the boat.

Especially with the specter of ChatGPT and infinite knowledge looming over them.

Nevertheless:

While there may be more entrepreneurs, ads, offers, and online courses for sale than ever before…

It’s not too late.

In fact, it may still be early.

Case in point:

I subscribe to a free newsletter called Exploding Topics to stay on top of different online trends.

This activity is non-negotiable for entrepreneurs, IMO…

Because markets are constantly changing…

And it’s crucial to know which tailwinds are picking up steam and driving your audience in new directions.

As famed copywriter Eugene Schwartz once said…

You can’t create desire, only channel it.

Anyhow, this morning’s edition included the following item:

As you can see…

Interest in the topic of “microcredentials” has been climbing steadily over the past 5 years.

That’s because the paradigm of traditional post-secondary education is shifting.

The notion that you need a 4-year degree to get a job in marketing, for example, seems pretty quaint these days.

Particularly to me.

(Given my two degrees are in Recreation & Leisure Management and Massage Therapy lol)

Instead…

People are shifting their attention towards micro-focused learning vehicles…

Be they online courses, coaching, or communities…

To acquire the skills they need to do a job…

Without all the extra fluff.

This has created a massive opportunity for people like you and me to serve that need with targeted “micro learning” offers.

An opportunity I expect will continue to grow in the years to come.

In fact:

The hard part won’t be finding people who want to buy an online course…

It will be finding people who want to buy an online course from YOU.

Because as the market becomes more saturated…

Trust is quickly becoming the variable in short supply.

Not desire.

So… how do you solve for that?

By following the Email Storyselling playbook.

In other words:

Publishing a daily story-driven newsletter that builds “know, like & trust”...

Positions you as a category of one…

And sells your audience on you and your story…

Not just your products.

This is how you win in a trust recession.

Some more food for thought on this Tuesday afternoon :)

P.S:

Next week, tickets will go on sale for a new live workshop I’m doing called:

“The AI Storyselling Machine”

Inside, I’ll be revealing the simple AI Storyselling system you can use to write profitable daily emails in 15 minutes or less…

Even if you’re busy with client work and don’t know what to write about.

This includes the exact prompts, workflows, and training materials you need to quickly duplicate it for yourself.

Plus you’ll see a live demo of the entire process from story idea to finished email.

Candidly, this has been a game-changer for me.

I’ve been using AI to write more and more of my emails over the past few months… especially when I’m traveling, busy with client work, or feeling stuck on what to write about.

(or hosting friends from out of town like I was this week ;)

Best part is, I’ve done it without sacrificing my authentic voice.

No AI word slop needed.

Anyhow, if you struggle to find time to write good emails and feel like you’ve been neglecting your list…

You won’t want to miss this one.

So stay tuned for more :)
