readers vs viewers (6 hours left)

I feel a bit sheepish to admit this now...
But when I launched this newsletter back in 2023, not only did it have a different name…
(The Copywriting Gig)
But it was also a value-driven newsletter that I only mailed once a week.
This ran counter to my many years of experience writing daily emails for coaches, consultants and experts...
But it was what I saw other big creators doing.
And I wanted to copy what (seemed to be) working.
Eventually though, I came to see the downsides...
Namely:
That value-driven emails sucked at making sales.
So I switched to sending story-driven emails instead.
And you know what?
I had a TON of people unsubscribe in those first few weeks.
Much more so than I expected.
So, moral of the story:
Your content format is a key part of the implicit agreement when new subscribers join your list…
And if you deviate from that, performance will suffer.
But this principle actually goes beyond what types of emails you send…
And also extends to what kind of subscribers you're attracting in the first place.
Specifically:
Whether they're readers or viewers.
As a newsletter publisher, you want people who like to READ.
Not terminally online TikTokers who get a 404 error anytime they see more than 50 words in one place.
As it happens:
This is one of the big advantages of a Tiny Visual Book Funnel.
Because books attract readers.
Which means their consumption patterns are perfectly aligned with your content format.
And in my experience...
People who read tend to be more thoughtful and intelligent than those who don't.
I dunno about you...
But that's exactly the kind of person I want on my list :)
So...
If you want to attract subscribers who actually want to read your emails…
(instead of people who complain about every email being "too long")
Then grab your ticket to my new workshop below for only $97.
I'll show you exactly how to use a Tiny Visual Book Funnel to attract high-intent readers instead of low-intent viewers who don't even bother to check their email...
Even if you don't have a book yet...
Even if you're not a copywriter or designer...
And even if you've never run ads before.
It's happening live tomorrow at 11 AM ET.
You'll also get lifetime access to the recording, slides, and bonuses if you can't make it live.
But tickets are only available until tonight at midnight.
Which means you've only got about 6 hours left to jump in.
Otherwise, you’re going to miss out…
Because this offer is about to disappear.
