too many words

True story:

Despite using a book to build my list…

I still occasionally get new subscribers who are not so much into all the words.

Case in point…

I got the following reply to my email on Friday:

As you can see…

She wrote me to complain about my “wordy” emails.

And, as I was weeping into my corn flakes after reading her complaint…

Something occurred to me:

I rarely talk about how to deal with negative feedback like this.

Because as writers, we’re naturally sensitive to criticism.

So it’s easy to get down on yourself if someone doesn’t like what you wrote.

Yet here’s the thing…

If you want to build a wildly profitable audience, newsletter, and business…

Then you can’t be for everyone.

It’s the textbook definition of polarity:

To attract some, you must repel others.

Am I worried my emails are too wordy?

Heck no lol

Thousands of people read them every day.

So instead of getting upset the next time someone writes you to complain about something you’ve written…

Take it as a sign that your emails are working as they should be.

They’re naturally designed to repel certain people.

What’s more:

Complaints provide great opportunities to drill a point home and reinforce your values even further.

And I do my best to never let a hater go to waste ;)

P.S:

Next week, I’m launching the Newsletter Freedom community.

Inside, I’ll be helping an elite group of coaches, experts & course creators to install the 3-step system I’ve used to build a profitable daily newsletter in less than 10 hours a week.

Now, I may be a bit biased…

But I’ve put together a pretty killer offer for founding members 😜

And best part is…

If you act fast enough, you’ll be able to claim a spot for less than $100 per month.

So if that sounds interesting…

Stay tuned for more details next week.
