traffic apocalypse

Spoiler alert:

AI has decimated search traffic for many businesses.

Searchers have become chatters who don't even bother to visit websites anymore…

Because they can just get the answer directly from ChatGPT or Perplexity instead.

So, effectively, the search engine optimization industry is dead.

Rising up to take its place is “generative engine optimization” or GEO.

As you can imagine…

Experts are scrambling to figure out how to get cited in the answers doled out by AI chatbots.

Only problem is:

The traffic available is a puny fraction of what these sites used to get from search engines.

So they’re basically fighting over table scraps.

Now, an obvious conclusion here is…

This is why it’s so important to own your audience.

Otherwise, it can be taken away from you at a moment’s notice.

Yet while the above may be a popular punchline among creators like me…

Truth is, just because you own your audience doesn’t mean it’s worth anything.

In fact…

If all you do is send a value-driven email once a week…

Or worse still, nothing at all…

Then your owned audience is worth a lot less than you think.

In some cases, it’s completely worth-less.

Why?

Because you haven’t conditioned them to buy.

And an audience that doesn’t buy anything isn’t worth anything.

So if you want to inoculate yourself against the AI traffic apocalypse…

It’s not enough to be collecting emails and building your list.

You also need to be mailing them regularly…

And cultivating a “buying environment”…

Where subscribers are not only encouraged to buy…

But actually feel excited to buy.

Something that doesn’t happen overnight…

Or without a certain set of skills…

Like the ones you’ll find inside my book and courses ;)

P.S:

Next week, tickets will go on sale for a new live workshop I’m doing called:

“The AI Storyselling Machine”

Inside, I’ll be revealing the simple AI Storyselling system you can use to write profitable daily emails in 15 minutes or less…

Even if you’re busy with client work and don’t know what to write about.

This includes the exact prompts, workflows, and training materials you need to quickly duplicate it for yourself.

Plus you’ll see a live demo of the entire process from story idea to finished email.

Candidly, this has been a game-changer for me.

I’ve been using AI to write more and more of my emails over the past few months… especially when I’m traveling, busy with client work, or feeling stuck on what to write about.

(or hosting friends from out of town like I was this week ;)

Best part is, I’ve done it without sacrificing my authentic voice.

No AI word slop needed.

Anyhow, if you struggle to find time to write good emails and feel like you’ve been neglecting your list…

You won’t want to miss this one.

So stay tuned for more :)
